STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 6678 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN SENATE May 4, 2023 ___________ Introduced by Sen. ROLISON -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to permitting the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam county, to lease sport field fences for advertisements The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The general municipal law is amended by adding a new 2 section 77-j to read as follows: 3 § 77-j. Sports field fence leases in the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam 4 county. Notwithstanding any provision of any general, special or local 5 law or of any charter to the contrary, the town of Putnam Valley, Putnam 6 county, may lease municipal sports field fences, annually, at a nominal 7 rent, to a not-for-profit corporation or organization, organized under 8 the laws of the state of New York for the purpose of permitting the sale 9 of advertising, with the revenues to be used solely by such town's 10 department of parks and recreation. 11 § 2.
