Senate Resolution No. 837

        HONORING  Gloria  Jean  Bradley for her commitment
        and dedication to excellence in  raising  young  men
        and  women  by the Youth Ministries of Agape Sabbath
        Day Church in Brooklyn

  WHEREAS, The unity of  our  State  and  Nation  is  built  upon  the
compassion  of  individuals  such  as Gloria Jean Bradley who uphold the
values of community life and who, through their great actions, epitomize
the best of humanity; and

  WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Gloria  Jean
Bradley for her commitment and dedication to excellence in raising young
men  and  women  by  the Youth Ministries of Agape Sabbath Day Church in
Brooklyn; and

  WHEREAS, Gloria Jean Bradley has been called upon to contribute  her
time  and  talents  to  countless civic and charitable endeavors and has
always given of herself unstintingly; and

  WHEREAS, A resident of Brooklyn, New York, Gloria Jean  Bradley  has
served  in  the  neurological field with the City of New York throughout
her  illustrious  40-year  career  as  an   Electroencephalogram   (EEG)
Technologist; and

  WHEREAS,  With  a  steadfast and unremitting commitment to enriching
the lives of the children in her community, Gloria Jean  Bradley  serves
as  the  Parent  Advocate  with  the  New  York  City Administration for
Children's Services; and

  WHEREAS, In addition to her two biological sons, Gloria Jean Bradley
has influenced the lives of countless local children, adopting seven  of
the 20 plus foster children who temporarily resided in her home; and

  WHEREAS,  An eminent woman of indomitable faith, Gloria Jean Bradley
is a dedicated member of Agape Sabbath Day Church; and

  WHEREAS, Rare indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown  by  an
individual  for  the  benefit  of  others  which Gloria Jean Bradley has
displayed throughout her life; and

  WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this  Legislative  Body
to  honor  and  support  those  individuals  who  have  displayed  their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the  intent
of  this  Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Gloria Jean Bradley, that future generations may know and appreciate her
admirable character, her many benevolent  deeds,  and  the  respect  and
esteem in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor  Gloria  Jean  Bradley  for  her  commitment  and  dedication   to
excellence  in  raising  young  men and women by the Youth Ministries of
Agape Sabbath Day Church in Brooklyn; and be it further

  RESOLVED, That a copy of this  Resolution,  suitably  engrossed,  be
transmitted to Gloria Jean Bradley.
