       AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to pension costs
         of  the  New  York  Health Care Corporations established under article
         10-C of such law
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section  1.  The  public  authorities  law  is amended by adding a new
    2  section 3501 to read as follows:
    3    S 3501. DETERMINATION OF PENSION COSTS. THE NEW YORK STATE COMPTROLLER
    4  SHALL SET THE TOTAL PENSION COSTS FOR EACH OF THE NEW YORK  HEALTH  CARE
    5  CORPORATIONS  ESTABLISHED UNDER THIS ARTICLE AT AN AMOUNT NO HIGHER THAN
    6  THE PENSION COSTS CALCULATED BASED ON THE EMPLOYMENT DATA OF THAT HEALTH
    7  CARE CORPORATION  AND  PENSION  CONTRIBUTION  RATES  IN  THE  BASE  YEAR
    8  UTILIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO ESTABLISH THE MEDICAID INPATIENT
    9  HOSPITAL RATES FOR THAT FISCAL YEAR.
   10    S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
