STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10268 IN ASSEMBLY May 13, 2022 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Lawler) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to requiring all public high schools to have a Title IX Coordinator The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 305 of the education law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 60 to read as follows: 3 60. The commissioner is authorized and directed to require all public 4 high schools to have a Title IX Coordinator. 5 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided, however that 6 within one year of the effective date of this act, all school districts 7 shall be in compliance with the provisions of this act. Effective imme- 8 diately, the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation 9 necessary for the implementation of this act on its effective date are 10 authorized to be made and completed on or before such effective date.
