McLAUGHLIN, REILLY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to authorizing the hunting of big game in the county of Albany with pistols, rifles, shotguns, crossbows and long bows THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: 1 Section 1. Items (d) and (e) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of 2 section 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by 3 section 11 of chapter 483 of the laws of 2010, are amended to read as 4 follows: 5 (d) Eastern region, Deer, first Monday Pistol, shotgun, 6 except ALBANY, after November 15 crossbow, 7 Columbia, Fulton, through first Tuesday muzzle loading firearm 8 Orange, Rensselaer, after December 7 or long bow only 9 Saratoga, Washington 10 Counties and those 11 counties or portions 12 thereof listed in 13 item (i) of this 14 paragraph 15 (e) Fulton, Saratoga, Deer, first Monday Pistol, rifle, 16 Washington (parts after November 15 shotgun, 17 in the Southern through first Tuesday crossbow 18 zone), ALBANY, after December 7 or long bow 19 Columbia, Orange, 20 and Rensselaer 21 counties EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. Items (d) and (e) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 22 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, item (d) as amended by 23 chapter 600 of the laws of 2005 and item (e) as amended by chapter 95 of 24 the laws of 1974, are amended to read as follows: 25 (d) Eastern region, Deer and bear, Pistol, shotgun, 26 except ALBANY, first Monday after muzzle loading firearm 27 Columbia, Fulton, November 15 through or long bow only 28 Orange, Rensselaer, first Tuesday after 29 Saratoga, Washington December 7 30 Counties and those 31 counties or portions 32 thereof listed in item 33 (i) of this paragraph 34 (e) Fulton, Saratoga, Deer and bear, first Pistol, rifle, 35 Washington (parts Monday after November shotgun 36 in the Southern 15 through first or long bow 37 zone), ALBANY, Tuesday after 38 Columbia, Orange, December 7 39 and Rensselaer 40 counties 41 S 4. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend- 42 ments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environ- 43 mental conservation law made by section one of this act shall be subject 44 to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant to section 13 45 of chapter 600 of the laws of 1993, as amended, when upon such date the 46 provisions of section two of this act shall take effect; provided 47 further, that the amendments to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 48 11-0907 of the environmental conservation law made by section two of 49 this act shall be subject to the expiration and reversion of such para- 50 graph pursuant to section 17 of chapter 483 of the laws of 2010, as 51 amended, when upon such date the provisions of section three of this act 52 shall take effect.
