         referred  to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs -- advanced to a third
         reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining  its  place  on  the
         order of third reading
       AN  ACT  to  amend  the  executive  law,  in  relation to annual reports
         concerning veteran-owned small businesses
         THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
       BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
    1    Section 1. Section 353 of the executive law is amended by adding a new
    2  subdivision 21 to read as follows:
    3    21.  TO  INCLUDE  WITHIN  THE ANNUAL REPORT AS REQUIRED BY SUBDIVISION
    4  ELEVEN OF THIS SECTION AN ACCOUNTING  OF  THE  NUMBER  OF  VETERAN-OWNED
    5  SMALL BUSINESSES IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK, TO BE LISTED BY THE FOLLOWING
    6  DESIGNATIONS:  SMALL  BUSINESS  CONCERN OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY VETERANS
    7  AND SMALL BUSINESS CONCERN  OWNED  AND  CONTROLLED  BY  SERVICE-DISABLED
    8  VETERANS.  SUCH  LISTING SHALL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO THE NAME OF
    9  THE VETERAN OWNER OR OWNERS OF EACH  BUSINESS,  LOCATION  OF  EACH  SUCH
   10  BUSINESS  AND  THE  TYPE OF EACH SUCH BUSINESS. THE TERM "SMALL BUSINESS
   11  CONCERN OWNED AND CONTROLLED BY VETERANS" AND THE TERM  "SMALL  BUSINESS
   12  CONCERN  OWNED  AND  CONTROLLED BY SERVICE-DISABLED VETERANS" SHALL HAVE
   13  THE SAME MEANING SET FORTH IN 15 U.S.C.  SECTION  632(Q).  THE  DIVISION
   14  SHALL  REQUEST  THIS  INFORMATION  ANNUALLY FROM THE U.S.  DEPARTMENT OF
   15  VETERANS AFFAIRS AND ANY OTHER APPROPRIATE FEDERAL AGENCIES.
   16    S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
   17  have become a law.
