AN ACT relating to equal apportionment of tax revenue generated by the
Yaphank county center between the Longwood Central school district and
the South Country school district
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. The total tax revenue assessed by the Longwood Central
2 school district and the South Country school district for the properties
3 with the following identifications and metes and bounds shall be
4 combined and apportioned equally between such school districts:
5 Tax Map No. 0200-665.00-02.00-001.000
6 All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Hamlet of Yaphank, in
7 the Town of Brookhaven, County of Suffolk, State of New York as shown on
8 Map No. 1 and as described as follows:
9 1. Beginning at a point at the division line between the lands now or
10 formerly of Frank J. Johnston, reputed owner on the east, and the lands
11 of Maurice A. Thomas, reputed owner on the west, said point also being
12 on the division line between the lands now or formerly of Maurice A.
13 Thomas, reputed owner on the south, and the lands now or formerly of the
14 County of Suffolk, reputed owner on the north, thence along last
15 mentioned division line S 83 12'53" W a distance of 1690.24 feet to a
16 point on the easterly boundary of County Road 21, Yaphank Avenue;
17 thence along the easterly boundary of County Road 21, Yaphank Avenue
18 the following four courses and distances:
19 1. N 05 42'13" W a distance of 554.14 feet to a point;
20 2. N 01 27'29" E a distance of 65.24 feet to a point;
21 3. N 04 50'00" W a distance of 150.00 feet to a point, and
22 4. N 08 40'00" E a distance of 175.60 feet to a point on the division
23 line between the lands now or formerly of the County of Suffolk, reputed

6 distance of 357.20 feet and a chord length of 354.45 feet a bearing of N

8 2. N 61 50'48" E a distance of 606.70 feet to a point, and
9 3. along a curve to the right having a radius of 970.00 feet an arc
10 distance of 80.80 feet and a chord length of 80.78 a bearing of N

9 Such properties shall be commonly referred to as the Yaphank county
10 center.
11 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall apply to assess-
12 ment rolls prepared on the basis of taxable status dates occurring on or
13 after such date.
