STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 2487 2023-2024 Regular Sessions IN ASSEMBLY January 26, 2023 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. HEVESI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to allowing severely disabled individuals to renew parking permits without provid- ing updated medical records The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 1203-a of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by 2 adding a new subdivision 1-a to read as follows: 3 1-a. Any resident of New York state who is a severely disabled person, 4 as defined in subdivision four of section four hundred four-a of this 5 chapter, shall not be required to provide updated medical records upon 6 application for renewal of a permit issued pursuant to this section. 7 § 2.
