          bill  amended,  ordered  reprinted  as amended and recommitted to said
          committee

        AN ACT directing the New York  state  energy  research  and  development
          authority to establish a ride clean rebate program

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The New York state energy research and development authori-
     2  ty (NYSERDA) is hereby directed to establish a parallel program  to  the
     3  drive  clean  rebate  program  entitled the ride clean rebate program to
     4  permit class one, class two, and class three bicycles with  an  electric
     5  assist,  as defined in section 102-c of the vehicle and traffic law, and
     6  electric scooters, as defined in section 114-e of the vehicle and  traf-
     7  fic  law,  to  be  eligible  for  a fifty percent rebate, with a maximum
     8  rebate amount of one thousand one hundred dollars ($1,100).
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
