STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE
In the Year of Our Lord Two Thousand Twenty
Be it Enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court convened:
1 New Paragraph; University System of New Hampshire; Authority of Trustees; Reports of Sexual Assaults. Amend RSA 187-A:16 by inserting after paragraph XXIV the following new paragraph:
XXV. Implement a policy requiring all institutions in the university system to report all incidents of sexual assault in which the offender is or will be charged with an offense under RSA 632-A and which occur on university system property to the local law enforcement agency within 24 hours of the incident.
2 New Paragraph; Community College System of New Hampshire; Authority of Trustees; Reports of Sexual Assaults. Amend RSA 188-F:6 by inserting after paragraph XXII the following new paragraph:
XXIII. Implement a policy requiring all institutions in the community college system to report all incidents of sexual assault in which the offender is or will be charged with an offense under RSA 632-A and which occur on community college system property to the local law enforcement agency within 24 hours of the incident.
3 Higher Education Commission; Sexual Assault Reporting Policy. Amend RSA 21-N:8-a, II(e)(10) to read as follows:
(10) Require all institutions of higher education over which the commission has regulatory authority to implement a policy requiring the institution to report all incidents of sexual assault in which the offender is or will be charged with an offense under RSA 632-A and which occur on the institution's property to the local law enforcement agency within 24 hours of the incident.
(11) Assume other responsibilities as may be provided in state or federal law.
4 Effective Date. This act shall take effect 60 days after its passage.
