Short Title:        Continue the Sustainable Local Food Advisory.

A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT to continue the work of the sustainable local food advisory council, as recommended by the house select committee on childhood obesity.

The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts:

SECTION 1.(a)  The North Carolina Sustainable Local Food Advisory Council, as established by Session Law 2009‑530, shall continue to contribute to a local food economy by considering and developing policies related to North Carolina's agricultural sector and economic development as provided under G.S. 106‑830.

SECTION 1.(b)  Section 4 of Session Law 2009‑530 reads as rewritten:

"SECTION 4. This act is effective when it becomes law and shall expire on July 31, 2012.2015."

SECTION 2.  This act is effective when it becomes law.
