Senate Bill 2830

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MARSHALL COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO CONTRIBUTE TO CHARITABLE NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS EXEMPT FROM INCOME TAXATION UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Marshall County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to contribute from any available funds an amount not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) to charitable nonprofit organizations exempt from income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
