AN ACT TO DESIGNATE A SEGMENT OF MISSISSIPPI HIGHWAY 51 WITHIN MADISON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI AS THE DEPUTY CHIEF W.T. "BILL" MARTIN MEMORIAL HIGHWAY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  (1)  That segment of Mississippi Highway 51 within Madison County, Mississippi, beginning at the corporate limits of the City of Madison and extending to the intersection of  Mississippi Highway 51 and Yandell Road is designated and shall be known as the Deputy Chief W.T. "Bill" Martin Memorial Highway.

     (2)  The Mississippi Department of Transportation shall erect and maintain appropriate signs along and approaching that segment of the highway.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 2014.
