AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF KEMPER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI, TO ENTER INTO APPROPRIATE BINDING CONTRACTS TO FUND THE CAPITAL COSTS NECESSARY TO EXTEND NATURAL GAS SERVICES WITHIN THE COUNTY; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The Board of Supervisors of Kemper County, Mississippi, is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to enter into appropriate binding contracts to fund the capital costs necessary to extend natural gas services incrementally throughout Kemper County.  Such contracts shall include a mechanism of equitable reimbursement from any private entities receiving county funds that may be in the form of amortized payments or in-kind services rendered over a period sufficient to make the county whole.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
