House Bill 1701

AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF WAVELAND, MISSISSIPPI, TO OFFER THE PUBLIC A TWELVE YEAR LEASE OF THE WAVELAND BUSINESS CENTER; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

     SECTION 1.  The governing authorities of the City of Waveland, Mississippi, are authorized, in their discretion, to offer the public a twelve (12) year lease of the Waveland Business Center.  The agreement shall follow the procedures specified under Section 21-17-1 et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972.  The lease shall be binding, according to its terms, on successor governing authorities of the city for such twelve year lease period.

     SECTION 2.  This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
