Summary

An Act To Create The North Mississippi Workforce Training And Development Fund As A Special Fund In The State Treasury; To Provide That The Mississippi Department Of Employment Security Shall Administer The Fund And Disburse The Monies In The Fund To The Four Workforce Investment Areas Over A Period Of Three Years; To Provide That Monies In The Fund Shall Be Used To Improve The Workforce Training And Development At The Local School Districts Throughout The State; To Provide That The State Fiscal Officer Shall Transfer The Full Balance In The Mississippi Development Authority Job Training Grant Fund Into The North Mississippi Workforce Training And Development Fund; To Repeal Section 57-1-451, Mississippi Code Of 1972, Which Created The Mississippi Development Authority Job Training Grant Fund; To Amend Sections 27-65-75 And 57-73-21, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Provisions Of This Act; And For Related Purposes.
