Summary
An Act To Prohibit Municipalities From Defunding Police Departments; To Provide Certain Definitions; To Provide That If A Policy Is Implemented Or Adopted By A Municipality To Defund Its Police Department, Then The Department Of Revenue Shall Withhold Ten Percent Of The Sales Tax Revenue That Would Otherwise Be Payable To The Municipality Until Such Time The Department Receives Certain Notice That The Municipality No Longer Implements Such Policy; To Amend Section 27-65-75, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.
