Summary

An Act To Amend Section 25-9-127, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Provide That Through July 1, 2021, The Personnel Actions Of The Office Of The Attorney General Shall Be Exempt From The State Personnel Board Rules, Regulations And Procedures; To Amend Section 7-5-9, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; To Amend Section 25-3-39, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Authorize The State Personnel Board To Exempt Special Assistant And Assistant Attorneys General And Certain Other Employees Of The Attorney General From The Requirement That Limits Public Officers And Employees From Being Paid A Salary That Exceeds The Salary Of The Executive Head Of The State Agency Or Department In Which They Are Employed When The Acquisition Of Such Professional Services Is Precluded Based On The Prevailing Wage In The Relevant Labor Market; To Amend Section 7-5-5, Mississippi Code Of 1972, To Conform To The Preceding Section; And For Related Purposes.
