1.2relating to veterans; authorizing placement of a plaque in the court of honor on
1.3the Capitol grounds to honor American Indian veterans from this state.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. PLAQUE AUTHORIZED.
1.6 A memorial plaque may be placed in the court of honor on the Capitol grounds
1.7to recognize the valiant service of American Indian veterans from this state who have
1.8honorably and bravely served in the United States armed forces, during both peacetime
1.9and war. The plaque must be furnished by the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council and must
1.10be approved by the commissioner of veterans affairs and the Capitol Area Architectural
1.11and Planning Board.
1.12 Sec. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
1.13Sections 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
