1.2relating to capital investment; appropriating money for acquisition of land for the
1.3Fish Creek Natural Greenway; authorizing the sale and issuance of state bonds.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. MAPLEWOOD; LAND ACQUISITION FOR FISH CREEK
1.6NATURAL GREENWAY.
1.7 Subdivision 1. Appropriation. $300,000 is appropriated from the bond proceeds
1.8fund to the Metropolitan Council for a grant to the city of Maplewood to acquire
1.9approximately 70 acres of land along Fish Creek to be included within the Fish Creek
1.10Natural Greenway, a park of regional and historical significance located in Ramsey
1.11County within the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area. This appropriation
1.12is not available until an amount sufficient to complete the acquisition is committed to
1.13the project from nonstate sources.
1.14 Subd. 2. Bond sale. To provide the money appropriated in this section from the
1.15bond proceeds fund, the commissioner of management and budget shall sell and issue
1.16bonds of the state in an amount up to $300,000 in the manner, upon the terms, and with
1.17the effect prescribed by Minnesota Statutes, sections 16A.631 to 16A.675, and by the
1.18Minnesota Constitution, article XI, sections 4 to 7.
1.19EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
