1.2relating to the Metropolitan Airports Commission; requiring certain commission
1.3meetings to be held outside of the airport security area;amending Minnesota
1.4Statutes 2012, section 473.604, by adding a subdivision.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 473.604, is amended by adding a
1.7subdivision to read:
1.8 Subd. 5a. Meetings with broad public interest. Commission meetings or hearings
1.9that are likely to be of broad public interest, as determined by the commission, must
1.10be held outside of the airport security area and in a location where a person can attend
1.11without providing personal identification documentation. A meeting or hearing is of broad
1.12public interest if 30 or more persons, other than commission staff, are likely to attend.
1.13EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.
