ENROLLED HOUSE BILL No. 5301
AN ACT to amend 1961 PA 88, entitled “An act to provide for the preservation and continuity of retirement system service credits for public employees who transfer their employment between units of government,” (MCL 38.1101 to 38.1106) by adding section 2a.
The People of the State of Michigan enact:
Sec. 2a. A reciprocal unit and a reciprocal retirement system shall comply with any applicable requirements under the protecting local government retirement and benefits act.
Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No. 686 of the 99th Legislature is enacted into law.
This act is ordered to take immediate effect.
