    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning health.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 16-22-3-5.5; (10)IN0292.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 16-22-3-5.5 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW SECTION TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010]: Sec. 5.5. On terms and conditions the board prescribes, the county hospital may own or operate health facilities located inside or outside the county.
SOURCE: IC 16-22-3-6; (10)IN0292.1.2. -->     SECTION 2. IC 16-22-3-6 IS AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010]: Sec. 6. The governing board may contract for the following services on terms and conditions the governing board finds reasonable:
        (1) The services of consultants, architects, engineers, or other professionals, including shared services or purchasing organizations.
        (2) Services reasonably required to operate and maintain the hospital, including the management of the hospital.
         (3) The operation of a health facility located inside or outside the county under an agreement with a qualified person or entity.
