    A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning criminal law and procedure.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

SOURCE: IC 35-46-9; (10)IN0264.1.1. -->     SECTION 1. IC 35-46-9 IS ADDED TO THE INDIANA CODE AS A NEW CHAPTER TO READ AS FOLLOWS [EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2010]:
     Chapter 9. Possession of Alcoholic Beverages on School Property and School Buses
    Sec. 1. As used in this chapter, "alcoholic beverage" has the meaning set forth in IC 7.1-1-3-5.

     Sec. 2. A person who knowingly or intentionally possesses an alcoholic beverage:
        (1) in or on school property; or
        (2) on a school bus;
commits possession of an alcoholic beverage on school property, a Class B misdemeanor.
