A HOUSE RESOLUTION recognizing the Indiana
Association of Cities and Towns Indiana Drug Card Program.
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card Program is an initiative
of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns to provide the
citizens of Indiana with discounts on prescription drugs and
other medical services;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is free of charge to all
Indiana residents and offers an average discount on
medications of more than 30 percent;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card requires no enrollment forms, no age, income, or other eligibility restrictions, and no annual or lifetime benefit limits, and covers pre-existing
conditions;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is a confidential discount
drug program for both insured and uninsured residents;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is accepted at more than
56,000 pharmacies and can be used on brand and generic
medications as well as other medical benefits and services;
and
Whereas, The Indiana Association of Cities and Towns
desires to extend these benefits to the citizens of Indiana:
Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives endorses the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns Indiana Drug Card and urges the state to inform residents about this program and facilitate distribution of cards to residents who need a card.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to the Matthew C. Greller, Executive Director of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns.
