A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Representative
Thomas Knollman.
Whereas, Representative Thomas Knollman, who was first
elected to represent the citizens of House District 55 in 2006,
will be leaving the House chamber for the last time at the end
of the 2012 legislative session;
Whereas, During his time in the House of Representatives,
Representative Knollman has served on the Agriculture and
Rural Development Committee, Interstate and International
Cooperation Committee, and Public Policy Committee;
Whereas, In recognition of his accomplishments, Representative Knollman was named the 2009 Small Business
Champion of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce;
Whereas, Active in his community, Representative
Knollman is a member of the Union County Farm Bureau, the
Ivy Tech Advisory Board, Union County High School
Agriculture Advisory Board, the United States Jaycees, Greater
Cincinnati Young Professionals with Multiple Sclerosis, and
the Whitewater Valley Methamphetamine Task Force, and
serves as agriculture ambassador for IALA to South Africa;
Whereas, Representative Knollman is also a National FFA
alumni, a graduate of the Indiana Agriculture Leadership
Development Institute, a member of Delta Theta Sigma
Agriculture Fraternity, and a Miami University Patron of the
Arts, and holds an American Farmer degree from the Future
Farmers of America;
Whereas, Representative Knollman graduated from Purdue
University with a degree in Agricultural Communication;
Whereas, Representative Thomas Knollman has served his
constituency loyally and faithfully since his election to the
Indiana General Assembly: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives wishes to bid a fond farewell to Representative Thomas Knollman. The House of Representatives has seen only good things during his tenure. Legislators and staff alike will miss him greatly. His departure will leave a void that will never be truly filled.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit copies of this resolution to Representative Thomas Knollman and his family.
