A HOUSE RESOLUTION to honor Robert W. Walradth
for receiving a purple heart.
Whereas, Specialist Robert W. Walradth served his country
as a member of L Troop, 3D Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry
Regiment; and
Whereas, in September 1969 while serving in Vietnam he
was struck by an enemy land mine while serving as gunner on
a tank being taken to the forward area of the troop's operation;
and
Whereas, he received emergency medical treatment on sight
along with other injured troopers and then received additional
medical assistance once reaching the deployed location of “L”
troop; and
Whereas, Robert W. Waldrath was honored with a purple
heart on the 9th of November 2009 for these wounds; therefore
SECTION 1. That Robert W. Walradth be honored for his service
to his country, which earned him a Purple Heart.
SECTION 2. That the Clerk of the House transmit a copy of this
Resolution to Robert W. Walradth.
