RESOLUTION
A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring Roland Fritts.
Whereas, Roland Fritts retired from Undersea Sensor
Systems, Inc. on Friday, April 8, 2011;
Whereas, At the time of his retirement, Roland Fritts held
the position of president of the company, a position he held
for ten years;
Whereas, During his tenure, employment with Undersea
Sensor Systems, Inc. grew from 200 to 380 associates, and
revenue grew from $25 million to $95 million;
Whereas, Under the guidance of Roland Fritts, Undersea
Sensor Systems, Inc. became known for its outstanding
product quality and diversification of products and product
lines;
Whereas, Roland Fritts guided Undersea Sensor Systems,
Inc. to be recognized as the Whitley County Business of the
Year in 2010;
Whereas, Roland Fritts ended his career of 33 years in
engineering, management, and leadership in the defense
industry in Northeast Indiana;
Whereas, Roland Fritts was active in his community, serving as a board member for Ultra Electronics, ERAPSCO, National Defense Industrial Association Undersea Warfare, and the Wells County Project Lead the Way Committee;
Whereas, Roland Fritts was also a member of the First Church of Christ Bluffton Building Committee; and
Whereas, It is fitting that we recognize those Hoosiers who
have made a positive contribution to their community and the
people of Indiana: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly wishes recognizes
the many accomplishments and contributions of Roland Fritts and
wishes him happiness and success in his retirement.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
Representatives transmit a copy of this resolution to Roland Fritts and
his family.
