Summary

Authorizes an employee of a law enforcement agency who: (1) has successfully completed a course of instruction approved by the United States Department of Transportation; and (2) maintains an acceptable competency level as established by the state police department; to enforce certain provisions of motor carrier safety law. (Current law authorizes an employee of a law enforcement agency who had successfully completed a course of instruction approved by the United States Department of Transportation before January 1, 1991, to enforce certain provisions of motor carrier safety law.)
