Summary

State employment of probation officers. Provides that a probation officer is a state employee whose salary is: (1) fixed by the appointing court in accordance with minimum compensation requirements adopted by the judicial conference of Indiana; and (2) paid from the state general fund. Allows a county, city, or town to pay a probation officer a salary supplement in the unit's salary ordinance.
