2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles J. Miller of Colona, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on May 20, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Charles Miller was born in Moline to Jack and Nora | ||||||
6 | Crawford Miller on October 14, 1949; he served in the United | ||||||
7 | States Army during the Vietnam War; he married Sherry Price in | ||||||
8 | Geneseo on June 18, 1994; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Charles Miller worked at John Deere as an | ||||||
10 | assembler, retiring after 38 years; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Charles Miller enjoyed camping and spending time | ||||||
12 | with his children and grandchildren; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Charles Miller was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | parents and his stepfather, Homer Heron; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Charles Miller is survived by his wife, Sherry; | ||||||
16 | his children, Jack Carl (Denelle) Miller, Ross (Anita) Miller, | ||||||
17 | Josh (Lacy) Miller, Justin Miller, Wendy Ramos, Lisa (Ron) | ||||||
18 | Webb, and Travis (Kelly) Cook; 24 grandchildren; five | ||||||
19 | great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Bud (Jan) Miller, Karen | ||||||
20 | Morrison, Jay Miller, Sue (Leroy) Kelley, and Jackie Miller; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Charles J. Miller, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Charles Miller as an expression of | ||||||
9 | our deepest sympathy.
