2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dennis D. Askam of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on May 20, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dennis Askam was born in Iowa City, Iowa to Donald | ||||||
6 | and Arlene (Bloch) Askam on November 5, 1942; he married Judy | ||||||
7 | Pease in Rock Island on April 17, 1971; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Dennis Askam worked as a clerk for the United | ||||||
9 | States Postal Service in Milan; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Dennis Askam enjoyed watching sports, especially | ||||||
11 | the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, and the Chicago Cubs; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Dennis Askam was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
13 | and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Dennis Askam is survived by his wife of 45 years, | ||||||
15 | Judy; his daughter, Mandy Vallee; his sisters, Doreen (Tom) | ||||||
16 | Devore and Annette Askam-Maas; and many nieces and nephews; | ||||||
17 | therefore, be it

18 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
19 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
