2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Carl H. Raymond of Bunker Hill, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 12, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Carl Raymond was born in Bunker Hill to Carl R. | ||||||
6 | and Edith (Schulthes) Raymond on July 16, 1929; he graduated | ||||||
7 | from Bunker Hill High School in 1947 and married Eunice Jean | ||||||
8 | Lenzi in Chesterfield on August 29, 1948; he served with the | ||||||
9 | United States Army, 25th Infantry Division with the Occupation | ||||||
10 | Forces in Japan after World War II; he was later recalled for | ||||||
11 | the Korean Conflict, serving with the 2nd Infantry Division; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Carl Raymond was a sales manager for Sears; he | ||||||
14 | retired in 1983 after more than 32 years of service; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Carl Raymond was a 50-year member of the Masonic | ||||||
16 | Lodge of Bunker Hill, a member of the Eastern Star, and a | ||||||
17 | lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1308 of | ||||||
18 | Alton; and

19 | WHEREAS, Carl Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
20 | his brother, Dr. William H. Raymond; and his sister, Linda Lee | ||||||
21 | Raymond; and

1 | WHEREAS, Carl Raymond is survived by his wife, Jean; his | ||||||
2 | son, Michael Raymond; his brother, Donald A. (Mary Ann) | ||||||
3 | Raymond; his foster sisters, Carol Hanner, Sharon Orban, and | ||||||
4 | Patsy Mary; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Carl H. Raymond, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further
| ||||||
10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
11 | presented to the family of Carl Raymond as an expression of our | ||||||
12 | deepest sympathy.
