2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Joseph "Ski" Youngman (Mlodozynic), who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 23, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman was born on September 22, 1924 in | ||||||
6 | Duluth, Minnesota; his parents were Josephine and Joseph | ||||||
7 | Mlodozynic; he later moved to the Waukegan area due to his | ||||||
8 | military duties at Great Lakes Naval Station; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman served his country on active duty | ||||||
10 | in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Chief | ||||||
11 | Petty Officer; he went on to serve for 10 more years in the | ||||||
12 | Naval Fleet Reserve; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, After retiring from the military, Joseph Youngman | ||||||
14 | worked at F.W. Means Clean Towel Service for 24 years and as a | ||||||
15 | driver and trainer with First Student Transportation for 20 | ||||||
16 | years; he served on the Park City Zoning Board for 8 years and | ||||||
17 | served as Lake County Election Judge for 15 years; he was also | ||||||
18 | a member of the Tiny Social Club for several decades; and

19 | WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman enjoyed playing bridge with his | ||||||
20 | friends at Park Place Senior Center; and

1 | WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman was preceded in death by his | ||||||
2 | parents; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; and a stepson, David Camelli; | ||||||

4 | WHEREAS, Joseph Youngman is survived by his wife of 60 | ||||||
5 | years, Patricia; 2 children, Diana Duff and Richard (Connie) | ||||||
6 | Youngman; 2 stepchildren, Karen (Mel) Dahl and Edward (Peg) | ||||||
7 | Moeller; 11 grandchildren, Mellisa (Randy) Seely, Vincent | ||||||
8 | (Amber) Camelli, Brian Duff, Kevin Duff, Jeremy Bentivegna, | ||||||
9 | Stephanie Youngman, Christie (Billy) Franks, Debbie (Jessie) | ||||||
10 | Balay, Laurie (Len) Wojciechowicz, Rita Conti, Lynn (Ron) Rich; | ||||||
11 | several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; | ||||||
12 | many nieces and nephews; 3 sisters, Emmaline Brock, Joanne | ||||||
13 | Mlodozynic, and Lucille Hoppe; and a brother, Robert | ||||||
14 | Mlodozynic; therefore, be it

15 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
16 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | ||||||
17 | family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph "Ski" Youngman | ||||||
18 | (Mlodozynic); and be it further
| ||||||
19 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
20 | presented to the family of Joseph Youngman as an expression of | ||||||
21 | our sympathy.
