2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Marvin L. Halstead of Rock Island, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 6, 2024; and

5 | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead was born to Harold and Helen | ||||||
6 | (Macomb) Halstead in Brookings, South Dakota on April 16, | ||||||
7 | 1935; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Joyce L. | ||||||
8 | Nightingale Carr in Moline on January 17, 2006; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead retired from Granger Supply; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead enjoyed construction, building, | ||||||
11 | dancing, camping, and spending his winters in Arizona; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead is survived by his wife; his | ||||||
13 | children, Douglas (Deb) Halstead, Tom Schweska, Sue Lang, | ||||||
14 | Kevin Halstead, Mike Schweska, and John Schweska; 17 | ||||||
15 | grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four | ||||||
16 | great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Carol (Milo) | ||||||
17 | Seibert; therefore, be it
