SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ronald L. "Ron" Bergman Sr. of East
4Moline, who passed away on January 28, 2024; and
5 WHEREAS, Ron Bergman was born to Marvin and Dorothy
6Johnson Bergman in Davenport, Iowa on June 17, 1947; he served
7in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve; he married Kayleen Heimann
8in Rock Island on July 4, 1969; and
9 WHEREAS, Ron Bergman retired from Case IH/New Holland in
10East Moline in 1998 after 32 years of service; and
11 WHEREAS, Ron Bergman enjoyed dancing with his wife,
12sitting outside and watching wildlife in his backyard,
13restoring his Crosley radio, putting together jigsaw puzzles,
14and spending time with his family; he was an avid fan of the
15Green Bay Packers; and
16 WHEREAS, Ron Bergman was preceded in death by his parents;
17his wife; and his granddaughter, Angel Hannah; and
18 WHEREAS, Ron Bergman is survived by his son, Ronald (Pam)
19Bergman Jr.; his daughter, Marjorie (Russell) Hannah; his
20grandchildren, Zack Bergman, Lucas Bergman, Kayleen Hannah,

1Ryan Hannah, and Seth Hannah; his great-grandson on the way;
2and his brother, Michael (Sharon) Brown; therefore, be it
3 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Ronald L. "Ron" Bergman Sr. and extend our sincere condolences
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
