SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Grace Edith Anderson of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on March 19, 2015; and
5 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was born on August 28, 1925 in Oak
6Park; her parents were Gustaf and Esther (nee Nelson) Krantz;
7she married Donald M. Anderson on November 2, 1947 in Crystal
8Lake; and
9 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson and her family spent the Depression
10years on her grandparents' farm outside of Algonquin; later,
11she and her parents moved to Crystal Lake, where she attended
12high school and worked at the National Tea Food Store; she
13graduated from what is now Central High School in 1944; she
14later went to work at Oak Manufacturing; and
15 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson helped run her husband's painting
16and decorating business for many years; she also worked as a
17drive-up teller at Home State Bank for 21 years until the age
18of 74; and
19 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was on the board of the Crystal
20Lake Union Cemetery Association and a member of the Mayor's
21committees to obtain a senior center for Crystal Lake; and

1 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson attended Crystal Lake Methodist
2Church for over 60 years; and
3 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson was preceded in death by her
4husband, Donald, and her parents; and
5 WHEREAS, Grace Anderson is survived by 2 daughters, Janet
6"Jan" (Joseph) Rickard and Donna (Steve) Crivello; 6
7grandchildren, Stacey (Jacob) Yukna, Jerrad (Betsy) Rickard,
8Jeffery (Stephanie) Crivello, Jeanna (Don) Francis, Trevor
9(Denise) Crivello, and Jody Crivello; and her
10great-grandchildren, Isabella, Eli, Olivia, Gabe, Jake, Ava,
11Jack, Lily, Brooke, Beatrice, Milania, and Eliza; therefore, be
12it
13 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Grace Edith Anderson;
16and be it further
17 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Grace Anderson as an expression of
19our sympathy.
