2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of James "Jim" Marvin Mumma, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on June 29, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was born to Rex and Leona (Lanners) | ||||||
6 | Mumma in Moline on June 4, 1951; he served in the U.S. Army and | ||||||
7 | was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Upon returning from Germany, Jim Mumma began his | ||||||
9 | career at John Deere Harvester, East Moline; after 40 years of | ||||||
10 | employment, he retired in January of 2014; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma loved fishing, hunting, and playing | ||||||
12 | cards; most of all, he loved spending time with family and | ||||||
13 | friends; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his father-in-law, Marvin Bowles; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Jim Mumma is survived by his wife, Kathy; his | ||||||
17 | daughter, Megan (Dan) Matthies; his stepchildren, Drew Kerr, | ||||||
18 | Mackenzie (Steven) Menegus, and Chase (Kelly) Young; his | ||||||
19 | granddaughter, Piper; his grandson, James; his brothers, | ||||||
20 | Kenneth (Debi) Mumma and Randy (Cindy) Mumma; his many |

1 | cousins; and his mother-in-law, Ruth Bowles; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | James "Jim" Marvin Mumma and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
5 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Jim Mumma as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
