| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Suzanne Cooke of Naperville, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 13, 2013; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Suzanne Cooke joined Naperville High School in | ||||||
6 | 2001, working there as an administrator; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Suzanne Cooke sponsored the Fellowship of | ||||||
8 | Christian Athletes and was active in her church and its youth | ||||||
9 | groups; she had a passion for sports and spent time interning | ||||||
10 | for the Miami Dolphins and spent 3 years as an assistant | ||||||
11 | athletic director at Naperville North High School; she was a | ||||||
12 | Chicago White Sox fan and would traveling around the country | ||||||
13 | attempting to visit all the Major League Baseball ballparks, | ||||||
14 | making it to 21 of them; and

15 | WHEREAS, Suzanne Cooke earned her doctorate recently and | ||||||
16 | the Dr. Suzanne Cooke Scholarship Fund was created to be given | ||||||
17 | to a student who leads by example and helps others; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Suzanne Cooke was known for her sense of humor, | ||||||
19 | her drive, and her big heart; she had a passion for working | ||||||
20 | with teenagers and would help them in any way that she could; | ||||||
21 | and

1 | WHEREAS, Suzanne Cooke is survived by her mother Do Cooke; | ||||||
2 | her father, Michael Cooke; her brother, Rick Cooke; and her | ||||||
3 | niece; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Suzanne Cooke, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
8 | further
| ||||||
9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Suzanne Cooke as an expression of | ||||||
11 | our deepest sympathy.
