| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Officer Dwayne Parks, who passed away | ||||||
| 4 | November 23, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks had served with the Stroger Hospital | ||||||
| 6 | Police Department for 16 years; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks previously served with the U.S. Air | ||||||
| 8 | Force as a security police officer for six years; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks maintained the star number 7504; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks proudly served the law enforcement | ||||||
| 11 | community for 21 years; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks leaves behind a wife, 11 children, | ||||||
| 13 | and his mother; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Officer Parks dedicated and gave his life to | ||||||
| 15 | protecting and serving the people of Illinois; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 18 | his family and friends, the passing of Officer Dwayne Parks; | ||||||

| 1 | and be it further

| 2 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 3 | presented to the family of Officer Dwayne Parks as an | ||||||
| 4 | expression of our sympathy.
