| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
| 3 | learn of the death of Officer Michael Ray Bailey Sr., who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on July 18, 2010; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Officer Bailey was employed by the Chicago Police | ||||||
| 6 | Department and served faithfully for over 2 decades; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Chicago Police Department has retired Officer | ||||||
| 8 | Bailey's star (#13970); and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Officer Bailey was a proud member of the Chicago | ||||||
| 10 | Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #7; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Officer Bailey had previously served as a fireman | ||||||
| 12 | with the Glenview Fire Department and was a United States Air | ||||||
| 13 | Force veteran; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Officer Bailey leaves behind his wife, his 3 | ||||||
| 15 | daughters, his parents, and his 3 brothers and 2 sisters; and
| ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Officer Bailey dedicated and gave his life to | ||||||
| 17 | protect and serve the people of the State of Illinois; | ||||||
| 18 | therefore, be it

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | ||||||
| 3 | his family, friends, and his Fraternal Order of Police brothers | ||||||
| 4 | and sisters, the passing of Officer Michael Bailey; and be it | ||||||
| 5 | further
| ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 7 | presented to the family of Officer Michael Bailey as an | ||||||
| 8 | expression of our sympathy.
