2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Dorothy Ruth Oglesby of Waukegan, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on December 19, 2012; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Oglesby was born on December 1, 1923, in | ||||||
6 | Chicago to Jacob and Emma Russell; she married William Clifford | ||||||
7 | Oglesby; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Oglesby retired from Abbott Laboratories; | ||||||
9 | and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Oglesby was a member of the St. Paul's | ||||||
11 | Lutheran Church in Waukegan, where she taught Sunday school for | ||||||
12 | many years; she was a volunteer at Victory Memorial Hospital | ||||||
13 | (now Vista East Medical Center) for over 30 years; she loved | ||||||
14 | animals, children, holidays, and doing things with her family; | ||||||
15 | and

16 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Oglesby was preceded in death by her | ||||||
17 | parents; her husband; and her sons, Richard, John "Jack", and | ||||||
18 | Thomas Oglesby; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Dorothy Oglesby is survived by her sons, Donald | ||||||
20 | Oglesby, David (Janet) Oglesby, and Robert (Sophie) Oglesby; |

1 | her grandchildren, Peggy, Pam, Diane, Scott, Heather, Shelly, | ||||||
2 | Teresa, Billy, Kim, and Kaity; and her great-grandchildren, | ||||||
3 | Sheldon, Cameron, Ashlyn, Kaitlyn, Shelly, Stacy, and | ||||||
4 | Stephanie; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Dorothy Oglesby, and we extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
