SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
to learn of the death of Vincent Bozzer of Colona, who passed
away on February 9, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Bozzer was born to George and Mary
Catherine (Hentschel) Bozzer in Detroit on March 15, 1926; he
earned his master's degree from the Florida Institute of
Technology and was a proud graduate of University of Michigan;
he was a World War II and Korean War veteran who served with
the Army Air Force; he married Marianne Vilt in Coal City on
January 23, 1954; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Bozzer worked at the Rock Island Arsenal
for 44 years, retiring on January 2, 1988; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Bozzer was an avid bowler, bird watcher,
and arborist; he enjoyed woodworking, being in nature, and
being a boy scout leader with his children when they were
younger; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Bozzer was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife; his four sisters; and his two brothers; and
WHEREAS, Vincent Bozzer is survived by his children, Erich

(Suzie) Bozzer, Lad (Brenda) Bozzer, and Therese (Bill)
Mueller, and his grandchildren, Emily, Brian, Alex, Henry,
Madeline, Sam, and Elizabeth; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Vincent Bozzer and extend our sincere condolences to his
family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Vincent Bozzer as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
