2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
3 | to learn of the death of Jeffrey "Jeff" Connell of East Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on January 14, 2021; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Jeff Connell was born to Eugene E. and Mary Jo | ||||||
6 | (Stickel) Connell in Moline on February 16, 1954; he was a | ||||||
7 | United States Air Force veteran; he married Kathleen E. Laney | ||||||
8 | in DeLand, Florida on June 11, 1996; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Jeff Connell enjoyed traveling and was an avid | ||||||
10 | golfer; he was a Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Illini fan; later in | ||||||
11 | life, he became a guitar player; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Jeff Connell was preceded in death by his | ||||||
13 | parents; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Jeff Connell is survived by his wife, Kathleen; | ||||||
15 | his children, Vincent Connell and Melinda Powell; his | ||||||
16 | stepdaughter, Jennifer Parent; his seven grandchildren; his | ||||||
17 | two great-grandchildren; his siblings, Robert (Theresa) | ||||||
18 | Connell, Roxanne (Gary) Dierolf, Allan (Karen) Connell, | ||||||
19 | Candace "Candy" (Steve) Collis, and Donald Connell; and his | ||||||
20 | uncle, James Stickel; therefore, be it
