| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are | ||||||
| 3 | saddened to learn of the passing of Donna Curzon; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was born in Anderson, Indiana to | ||||||
| 5 | Edward Joseph and Mary Agnes Curzon; early in her life, she | ||||||
| 6 | moved to Sycamore, where she was raised with ten other | ||||||
| 7 | siblings; and
| ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Donna Curzon attended St. Mary's Catholic School | ||||||
| 9 | and graduated from Sycamore High School in 1979; she held | ||||||
| 10 | multiple degrees and certifications; and
| ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was a frontline worker who served as | ||||||
| 12 | a certified pharmacy technician for more than 15 years; she | ||||||
| 13 | was known and loved by the patients she served; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Outside of work, Donna Curzon was devoted to her | ||||||
| 15 | local community and often volunteered for many causes, | ||||||
| 16 | including service as an officer in the DeKalb American Legion | ||||||
| 17 | Auxiliary, Unit 66, and work for her family's charity, Wrapped | ||||||
| 18 | in Love, which was dedicated to her late parents; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Donna Curzon loved the sunshine, the beach, and | ||||||
| 20 | her favorite musicians, which included Tom Petty and the | ||||||

| 1 | Heartbreakers; and
| ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was a loving mother to her son | ||||||
| 3 | Alexander and a sister to Kathleen Barrett, Margaret Hanna, | ||||||
| 4 | and Mary Ellen Curzon-Price and her brothers, Edward, John, | ||||||
| 5 | William, Thomas, Joseph, James, and Daniel; she was a loving | ||||||
| 6 | aunt to her 20 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 8 | HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 9 | we mourn the passing of Donna Curzon and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 10 | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 11 | her; and be it further
| ||||||
| 12 | RESOLVED, That we declare March 12, 2021 to be the Donna | ||||||
| 13 | Curzon Day of Service; and be it further
| ||||||
| 14 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 15 | presented to the family of Donna Curzon as an expression of our | ||||||
| 16 | deepest sympathy.
