Bill Title: Congratulates Iron Workers Local 380 of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union on its 100th anniversary. Thanks the union and its members for their invaluable work to make Illinois a leading state for world-class infrastructure and recognizes that the members are the working people who conduct the manual labor stemming from 30% of planned Rebuild Illinois state program distribution spending.

HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Iron Workers Local 380 of
4the International Association of Bridge, Structural,
5Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union on the occasion
6of its 100th anniversary; and
7 WHEREAS, Iron Workers Local 380 was established in 1923,
8and the trade association is a proud member of the Illinois
9AFL-CIO; and
10 WHEREAS, The International Association of Bridge,
11Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union
12represents 120,000 members across North America; and
13 WHEREAS, Iron workers build safely and skillfully,
14ensuring quality bridges and infrastructure improvements are
15made correctly and on time; and
16 WHEREAS, Iron workers are known as the "Bridge Builders of
17Illinois", as demonstrated by the improvement of at least 290
18bridges since the beginning of the Rebuild Illinois state
19program; and
20 WHEREAS, Iron workers are doing their part in the

1renewable energy sector to help carefully construct wind
2turbines, helping power Illinois for generations to come;
3therefore, be it
4 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
5HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6we congratulate Iron Workers Local 380 of the International
7Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental, and Reinforcing
8Iron Workers Union on its 100th anniversary; and be it further
9 RESOLVED, That we thank Iron Workers Local 380 and its
10members for their invaluable work to make Illinois a leading
11state for world-class infrastructure and recognize that the
12members are the working people who conduct the manual labor
13stemming from 30% of planned Rebuild Illinois state program
14distribution spending; and be it further
15 RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
16presented to Business Manager Charles Black and the Iron
17Workers Local 380 Union Hall as an expression of our esteem and
18respect.
