HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, During the 99th General Assembly, House Joint
3Resolution 1 created the Emergency Responder Roadway Safety
4Task Force to identify and recommend ways that the State of
5Illinois can increase the safety of emergency responders while
6they perform their duties; and
7 WHEREAS, The Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force
8was to report its findings and recommendations to the General
9Assembly on or before January 1, 2016; and
10 WHEREAS, The Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force
11needs additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it
12 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
13NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE
14SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Emergency Responder Roadway
15Safety Task Force shall submit a report, as required in House
16Joint Resolution 1 of the 99th General Assembly, no later than
17January 1, 2017; and be it further
18 RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the
19Emergency Responder Roadway Safety Task Force shall continue to
20operate pursuant to House Joint Resolution 1 of the 99th
21General Assembly.
