Bill Title: Amends the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, the Illinois Vehicle Code, and the Criminal Code of 2012. Provides that, except when greater penalties are imposed in the aggravated battery statute, aggravated battery that causes permanent disability or disfigurement is a Class 2 (rather than a Class 3) felony. Effective immediately.
