Summary

Amends the Illinois Endangered Species Protection Act. Provides that the removal of an endangered animal from its habitat that is imminently necessary to avoid serious injury, additional injury, or death of the animal, does not violate the Illinois Endangered Species Protection Act. Requires a person who removes an animal under this Section to immediately take the endangered animal to an animal shelter. Requires both the person removing the animal and the animal shelter to report the removal to the Department of Natural Resources within 24 hours of the removal.
