A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to the department of accounting and general services.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2019-2020 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2020-2021 for administering the collection of the monthly surcharge from wireless service providers and providing reimbursement from the 911 fund to public safety answering points and wireless and VoIP connection service providers to pay for the reasonable costs to lease, purchase, or maintain all necessary equipment, including computer hardware, software, and database provisioning required by the public safety answering points to provide technical functionality for the wireless enhanced 911 service pursuant to Federal Communications Commission order 94-102 (AGS891).

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of accounting and general services for the purposes of this Act.


     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
